Sponsor Soliciations...
If you want to help solicit cash or gift donations from local area businesses, you will find
everything you need right here.  Simply follow the steps below. Thank You for your help...

You may be here as a business leader.  If so, we say
THANK YOU in advance for your
support!  Please take a few minutes to read all of the documents attached below under
Step #2.  This will help you understand the importance of your donation.
Then if you wish to donate, please complete & return document #6.
Thank you for helping to make a difference in our community and for celiacs everywhere!
Step #1 - Before you approach a business, please check the Sponsors and Raffle
web pages to see if they have already donated.  Also, contact Janet
(
Janet@Charlotte-Celiac-Connection.org) to double check and get the business
logged. We also want to prevent multiple people asking the same business.

Step #2 - Print all the Documents below (in color) and paper clip together as one
package.  You can use the documents as talking points when you meet with the
business leader.  Remember to "ask" for a donation and to "give" them the package
of documents (with or without a donation).  Note: some businesses may not be in a
position to donate money but can offer a gift basket, gift certificate or other
business product that we can include in our gift raffle.

Familiarize yourself with these documents before you approach a business leader.
Documents:
  1. Reach Out Letter
  2. Center For Celiac Research (CFCR) Accomplishments
  3. Charlotte Celiac Connection Overview
  4. Event Flyer
  5. Sponsorship Levels
  6. Business Donation Form

Approach the business leader with courtesy and humility.  If they are busy or do
not seem interested, then thank them and leave the materials for them to review
at their leisure.  Don't be pushy, Charlotte has a ton of non-profit charity events
and businesses may feel bombarded.  Don't feel discouraged because leaving the
materials for them to review is also increasing awareness of celiac.  This is very
important because business people are in the public and touch many lives!  Overall
though, I think you will find that Charlotte has very generous business leaders.  If
you do obtain a donation then thank them and let them know they can contact Carol
or I with any questions.  We will provide them with a tax deductible receipt.

Step #3 - Call Charlotte (615-812-2427), Carol (803-547-3258) or Janet
(704-442-2997) with the details of your donation and to make arrangements for
submitting the donation.  This is important to do immediately after you obtain the
donation so we can update our records.

Remember to have fun!
Thank You for helping to raise funds for research &
increasing awareness of Celiac Disease in Charlotte!$
