Questions and Answers Regarding Food Allergens, including the Food Allergen Labeling and
Consumer Protection Act of 2004 (Edition 2)
December 14, 2005 - The Food and Drug Administration updated their Questions & Answers document
concerning the new allergen labeling law!   
Important: packaged foods on shelves on Jan. 1st will not
necessarily be labeled under the new law only those products "labeled" on or after 1/1/06.  Old items
(not labeled under FALCPA) will not be pulled from shelves. [
